Priscilla

Adopted 03/13/14
Deceased 07/17/26

Miss Priscilla has joined her partner Elvis (Mr. Peabody) on the rainbow bridge. We lost her this afternoon when the tumors in her liver won the final battle.  We knew we did not have long with her but the end came much sooner than we were expecting. They were adopted in March of 2014 and brought a joy into our lives that we could never have imagined.  We lost Mr. Peabody in August of 2025, and Miss Priss stayed with us for almost a year. We will miss her dance at dinner time and her sweet kiss on my nose when I would kiss her on the head. There is no way to measure the sadness in our hearts. Thank you so much for bringing the joy into our lives with these loving members of our family.

Dolly Dreidel

Adopted 03/21/14
Deceased 07/07/26

We had to say goodbye to our sweet Dolly today. She helped me through the toughest time of my life giving me unconditional love and snuggles. She was a couch companion to us and to all of our furry family.  Thank you for bringing this sweet little girl to us!

It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that after seven wonderful years with him. Tormund crossed the rainbow bridge. He was so loved. I will always be the crazy lady who drove from Arkansas. I don't regret a single day. Thank you for all my time with him.

Schultz Goshawk

Adopted 08/18/18
Deceased 05/07/26

Eight years wasn’t long enough. How your family gave you up, I will never understand. They didn’t deserve you since they let you get heartworms. You had my heart. You were loved so much by both of us. I wasn’t ready. I don’t think I would have ever been ready. But you told me this morning it was time. Schultz you will be irreplaceable forever.

Tommy Trailrider
"Remy"

Adopted 04/22/16
Deceased 04/25/26

It breaks my heart to inform you that our sweet boy, Remy, (formerly Tommy Trailrider) passed over the rainbow bridge this past Saturday. We adopted him in April 2016, and he was a never ending source of humor and love in our lives.

In February 2024, we took him to Texas A&M for emergency spinal surgery to repair a herniated disc, a small mass was discovered on his upper back during the examination. It was determined to be a mast cell tumor. Remy battled cancer for over 2 years, but ultimately succumbed to a mass on his spleen. We lost his brother and soulmate dog Max (DREAM Alum Gage Gardenia) in January 2026. Remy was never the same after Max’s passing. We know our boys are together again, but our hearts are so completely shattered. Thank you again, for allowing us the opportunity to have these boys in our lives. We are grateful for the opportunity to love them.

Casper Chamomile

Adopted 09/11/21
Deceased 03/23/26

Casper crossed the rainbow bridge on March 23rd, 2026. When I first got him, he really struggled with anxiety. It took a lot of time and patience to build the bond we did, but eventually, he began to feel comfortable with me. While I only got to have him for a few short years, I am so proud of the goofy little guy he was, and I am so grateful to have had him for as long as I did. He was deeply loved in our home, and he will never be forgotten. I will forever love and miss him and his silly personality. I hope he's playing with his brother, Koda, and eating as much chicken as he wants.

Bambi Bagel

Adopted 01/09/25
Deceased 03/16/26

Bambi Bagel passed away early this morning. We took her to the vet Saturday morning and she had congestive heart failure and fluid in her lungs. They tried some medication but it continued to worsen the last 48 hrs. We just celebrated her 15th birthday this month. She was very well loved and very happy this last year. We are very glad that we had time with her.

Sarah Sweet Potato

Adopted 12/29/19
Deceased 03/06/26

Just wanted to share that our sweet Sarah passed today. She was in kidney failure. Still trying to understand how that happened. Once she was diagnosed she only lasted 3 weeks. I’m glad we were able to hold her when she crossed over. We had her cremated so she will be coming home soon. We will miss her very much. Have always been grateful that she chose us. She was deeply loved 😞

Milo Maxilla

Adopted 02/23/17
Deceased 02/24/26

We lost our beloved Milo we adopted from DREAM. My heart is completely broken. 💔 He was our everything. We adopted his brother Max a month later after Milo and they were completely bonded. Milo was large and in charge of all of us.

Baron Bisbee

Adopted 11/20/22
Deceased 02/08/26

Baron von Barkface, or Mr. B. as we fondly called him was a very sweet boy. He was shy when we adopted him and quickly warmed up to our family. He loved running in the yard and snuggling next to us on the couch. The house seems so quiet without him.

He will forever be in our hearts 💕

Beauregard Bunt
"Otis"

Adopted 07/31/16
Deceased 02/05/26

I adopted my beautiful Otis from dream in 2016. He passed away in his sleep on February 5th. I loved him so much, and miss him even more. I pray that if he had to go that he would go in his sleep, and that prayer was answered, laying right next to me during the night. My prayer was answered. My decision to adopt him was the best decision I’ve ever made. Thank you dream.

Archie Alpine
"Duncan Archibald"

Adopted 02/26/15
Deceased 01/26/26

Duncan was a personality not to be trifled with. He wore his role as alpha dog with great seriousness and defended that title against any new dachshund who crossed our threshold. That said, Duncan was also fiercely loyal to his pack and very much a paternal figure. He greeted his brothers—Dexter, Declan, and Dillon—with love and grace, even when the latter two arrived with extreme puppy enthusiasm during Duncan's senior years, a time when quiet was almost certainly preferred.

Among his brothers and a one-time foster sister, Duncan alone truly enjoyed car rides. He also took great pride in patrolling any yard, walking its perimeter with the precision of a seasoned security guard. Duncan was not a lover of toys, but he deeply enjoyed watching the world from the window and harbored a special hatred for large brown trucks bearing the UPS logo. In his later years, when Duncan lost the ability to walk, he became well known in the neighborhood as the spoiled dachshund enjoying his evening walk in the comfort of a red wagon. And even then, he continued to relish time in the grass, content simply being one with nature.

We will remember Duncan for many things. Duncan never lost his dashing good looks. One of the most profoundly beautiful black and tan dachshunds we have met, he seemed to hardly age with each passing year. Perhaps his most remarkable trait was his impeccable house training. Duncan did not have accidents. Even in moments of extreme need, he would hold out and alert the household with urgent barking rather than make a mess indoors. Given his brothers' naughty behaviors, this trait clearly does not pass along through role-model behavior for this breed.

Duncan charmed everyone who truly got to know him, including the technicians at his vet, West Alabama Animal Clinic. We know those who spent close personal time with Duncan loved him as much as we did. His absence leaves a profound sense of loss, and our lives are quieter and far less complete without him.

Lucas Loveboat

Deceased 01/14/26

I am sad to share that Lucas went into sudden acute congestive heart failure. After much discussion, tears and heavy hearts, we decided to say goodbye today. We enjoyed nearly 10 years of blessings with him. Thank you for allowing me to love him all these years. He was my baby boy, always by my side, in my lap, or sleeping in our bed. As with all our babies, he will be cremated and come back home to be with all those who passed before him, in his own special wooden box, along with his paw print. It just hurts so badly whenever you loose a precious fur baby. He was so very much loved and had a good life. I am so very very blessed to have had him all these years. 🙏🙏 Dog heaven will be his best home ever.🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
