Lucien Lebkuchen ("Scooby Deux")

In early November 2024 we viewed a posting on Dream Dachshund about a dog in much need of a foster family. We contacted them to see if we could foster Lucien through the holidays. Excited and nervous, we went to the veterinarian clinic to pick him up and utter disbelief was seeing him for the first time! We were in stunned silence, but Lucien came out and greeted us like we were his favorite people along with the entire staff (who were already crazy about him). I told Scott on the way home that I had no intentions of returning him….he was ours. Scott agreed and said, “I know that.” Scooby Deux, formally Lucien, along with our four other dachshunds, Duchesse, Vivi, Lily, and CoCo have completed our family. Yes, he has been through a lot…no hair except his ears, medicated baths, many medications, major dental issues (20 teeth removed) as well as his eye. No matter what he’s endured he is the happiest dog we’ve ever had in our home. And….you’ve never seen a more handsome fellow. We love him and are thankful for every moment he is ours.
