Buster Bolognese became a DREAM Dachsie when his owner, who was moving out of the country, reached out to DREAM for help. Unable to take his three fur babies "down-under" with him, his hope is that they all find new loving forever homes. He took Buster in when he was about 18 months old. A neighbor found him roaming the streets and was never able to locate an owner to claim him.
He's about 3-4 years old, he is house trained and does know how to use the doggy door. He really enjoys going for walks and taking car rides. Buster is young and playful with his toys and with other dogs, so he will do best with a forever family that has at least one playful dog buddy for him. He's interactive, playful and loves being in your lap. Buster spends most of the day pulling toys out of our toy basket, he loves stuffed animal squeaky toys, and he doesn't tear them apart! If I'm working at my desk he likes to lay by my chair and rest his head on top of my feet. Buster has fit in nicely with our pack, and our family however he is a dachshund who takes time to warm up to new people, as he will bark and needs time to be able to come over and sniff on his own terms. He also has a "happy to see you" bark that he does when my kids come home from school!
Buster is making great strides with his weight loss, unfortunately his previous owner let him get almost 10 lbs overweight. Luckily he likes to run and play, so keeping his food portions limited to 1/3 cup twice a day, coupled with his activity level, he's looking so good!
