Little Paige Poinsettia was hit by a car. Even though she was injured, she drug herself into the parking lot of a nearby Walgreens. By a stroke of good fortune, a Good Samaritan, who also owns and loves Dachshunds, ran in to the store and got the attention of the store manager. They grabbed a blanket from the store shelf to try and comfort Paige. Next, they called the police and ACO who came and took Paige to BARC. The next morning, DREAM received a call from the Good Samaritan, asking if we could help, and offered to foster her. Of course DREAM said yes!

Paige underwent surgery to repair two broken femurs and two broken tibias, but thankfully it appears she didn't sustain any injury to her back, hips or pelvis. Please say a prayer for Paige's full and complete recovery as well as a prayer of thanks for her caring foster mom!
