This gorgeous black & tan three year old tweenie is Claudia Consomme. Why in the world someone would drop her off in a local park known for dumping dogs, we'll never understand. But they did and we're grateful to a dog lover named Polly who gave it her all to catch Claudia and pave her path to become a DREAM Dachsie.

Claudia's foster family believes she needs a forever family where she can be either a one and only or sibling to one other male dog that she has proven to get along with. Once Claudia settled in to her foster home, she began to get very protective of her foster mom and would "go after" the other dogs in the home, including a larger female pit-mix. We aren’t sure what happened in Claudia’s previous life that would bring out this type of behavior, especially since she was fine the first few weeks in foster care, with no altercations. She is not food aggressive at all, but just seemed to go after other dogs completely unprovoked. Claudia is however, very loving with people, rolling over for belly rubs and easily gives out kisses. She's now with another foster family who only fosters one other male dog for DREAM, and these two seem to be getting along just fine.
