This pretty little lady is Opal Oppenheimer. She and her buddy Leighann Libra were found wandering, lost and alone in far west Houston. Their rescuer confirmed they were not microchipped, nor were they wearing any tags. Unable to keep them, they were taken to a nearby animal control with the hope that owners might be looking for them. Unfortunately, no one came for them. Caring folks from the local rescue community brought their plight to DREAM's attention and of course we said "yes we'll help!” Opal is a very well-mannered senior girl. Her foster mom says she is the most polite Dachsie she has ever met. Opal rarely barks, and almost never has accidents in the house. She is also potty-pad trained. She loves to nap in her kennel (it’s her comfort zone), but on the weekends, she likes to spend most of her time outside sun-bathing. She would prefer not to be picked up, but she loves to be petted, and sleeps in the big bed with her foster parents at night! This polite lady is ready to find her forever home!
