Hi, my name is Jimma. My foster mom says I am a very sweet dog that has quickly learned the fun of snuggling, going outside for potty breaks and belly rubs are the best. I'm house trained and enjoy walking around the backyard. While I'm a bit shy at first, as soon as I'm comfortable, you won't find a better cuddle partner than me. I'm good with other dogs in my foster home but I'm no fan of cats. I enjoy the attention of calmer children but if they get too rowdy, that makes me uncomfortable. I'm friendly to new people if they give me a little bit of time to warm up to them. Because I'm a Dachshund, I like to bark at squirrels, other dogs I see and sometimes just strange noises. So an apartment would not be a good fit for me. I am heartworm positive but taking my meds and I'm doing really well. If you are looking for a loyal, loving dog, I'm yours.
