Tiny is a small dachshund with a BIG personality. Although we think he is around 10 years old, he still acts (and looks) much younger than his age. Some of his favorite things to do are go for car rides and go on walks. He also loves to lay on his person while watching TV (and in general loves to be next to his person whenever he can). He is a “guys” dog and has really taken to his foster dad. He likes his foster mom just fine, but if dad is home he barely ever leaves his side. He does like to watch his foster Mom cook, hoping she may drop something that he can gobble up! He does well with other dogs, but he is very protective over his toys (he loves squeaky toys!) and food (and may growl or snap at other dogs, if they get to close to his things). He needs to be a scheduled feeding, and is not a dog that would do well being “free-fed”. He is fairly active and plays and runs around with the other dogs. Tiny is very brave and doesn’t seem to be bothered by loud noises at all. Although he is good with strangers and other dogs, we are not sure how he is with children or cats, and given his “guarding” tendencies- we feel he would do best with older children/teenagers. He is 99% potty trained, but like most dachshunds, he may have the occasional accident (especially if its raining outside). He gets to roam the house free when his foster family is out. He has access to a dog door, and he has learned quickly how to use it! Tiny also has a BIG voice and is constantly making noise of some sort (be it grunting, woofing, or groaning)- his voice is one thing we feel makes him unique. Tiny will need an experienced owner, who can handle his guarding and possessive tendencies. This little man has a lot of personality, and cannot wait to find his forever home!
